I'm not apologizing for our troops who help to gain liberty for millions of Iraqis
I'm not apologizing for President Bush who kept our country free from terror attacks since 9/11.
I'm not apologizing for holding my hand over my heart at the sound of our national anthem.
I'm not apologizing that I sometimes get misty at the sight of the American flag.
I'm not apologizing for believing that we live in the greatest country on earth.
When the GOP stops apologizing, we'll take back America.
Kick out the crooks. Raise the bar. Fire the backbiters. Get back your pride.
Let's take back the White House and Congress in 2012.
I'm tired of having to endure all the insults and lies over the last several months: Ayers, Wright, Bush, Obamabots and the tingley legs of the MSM who was so willing to forget their first love and trick the electorate into the hiring of an unvetted candidate.
Of all the things that have come out over the last few months, the fact that Ayers teaches, writes books, lives in a mansion and is a political powerhouse in Chicago is one of the hardest things to swallow. As my brother and many othersvliterally gave their minds, hearts and flesh to fight a war in Vietnam by demand of our country, Ayers repeatedly set bombs on the soil in his own nation. The fact that Ayers claims to have been "careful" not to kill anyone is just a bald-faced lie, he would have if his girlfriend hadn't died first by building the nail-embedded bomb meant to be implanted at a military dance.
If I hated my country or countrymen so much that I would seek to blow it up I would certainly have left or checked myself into a mental hospital. The fact is, I think Ayers was a spoiled and cowardly rich kid who managed to spin his cowardice into false bravado.
For several months we have been fighting in a battle to keep our country and sought to find common ground with many pretenders and to never offend by sometimes defending. In the end, we lost. Its time to simply speak the truth, come what may. Though its best to choose our words carefully, it's time to stand up and not sit mute.
How many of us saw the burning of the twin towers live on television as our fellow citizens faced their impending doom? How many of us watched (and thanked God) as the monument of Saddam Hussein collapsed and became a carnival ride for thousands of Iraqi's celebrating the end of a stifling, murderous, evil empire?
Right is wrong and wrong is right? Why? Because we want to get along with those who want to hurt us. When freeing millions of Iraqi's from the tyranny of Saddam becomes bad, despite the fact that thousands of bodies were found as evidence of Saddam's genocide, and when the freedom and liberties that we all share in our country mean we can blow each other up to make a point---then we have truly crossed some intangible line.
In my world, Jane Fonda will never be a hero and I would never buy a book or attend her movies. William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn would not teach me or my child in a university, if they weren't in jail they would certainly never be my pals. If Keith Olbermann would have courage, he would face thousands of angry vietnam vets who he claims lied---they were never spat upon by their fellow citizens when they returned home. Somehow we believe Ayers would blow up the pentagon but would never lower himself to spit on a vet--give me a break. If the youth of our country are so easily manipulated we should all fear growing old in their presence.
The day we stop speaking the truth when confronted with a lie is the day we've written the death warrant for our own nation and ourselves--quite literally.
