I'm not apologizing...

I'm not apologizing for our troops who help to gain liberty for millions of Iraqis

I'm not apologizing for President Bush who kept our country free from terror attacks since 9/11.

I'm not apologizing for holding my hand over my heart at the sound of our national anthem.

I'm not apologizing that I sometimes get misty at the sight of the American flag.

I'm not apologizing for believing that we live in the greatest country on earth.

When the GOP stops apologizing, we'll take back America.

Kick out the crooks. Raise the bar. Fire the backbiters. Get back your pride.

Let's take back the White House and Congress in 2012.

I'm tired of having to endure all the insults and lies over the last several months: Ayers, Wright, Bush, Obamabots and the tingley legs of the MSM who was so willing to forget their first love and trick the electorate into the hiring of an unvetted candidate.

Of all the things that have come out over the last few months, the fact that Ayers teaches, writes books, lives in a mansion and is a political powerhouse in Chicago is one of the hardest things to swallow. As my brother and many othersvliterally gave their minds, hearts and flesh to fight a war in Vietnam by demand of our country, Ayers repeatedly set bombs on the soil in his own nation. The fact that Ayers claims to have been "careful" not to kill anyone is just a bald-faced lie, he would have if his girlfriend hadn't died first by building the nail-embedded bomb meant to be implanted at a military dance.

If I hated my country or countrymen so much that I would seek to blow it up I would certainly have left or checked myself into a mental hospital. The fact is, I think Ayers was a spoiled and cowardly rich kid who managed to spin his cowardice into false bravado.

For several months we have been fighting in a battle to keep our country and sought to find common ground with many pretenders and to never offend by sometimes defending. In the end, we lost. Its time to simply speak the truth, come what may. Though its best to choose our words carefully, it's time to stand up and not sit mute.

How many of us saw the burning of the twin towers live on television as our fellow citizens faced their impending doom? How many of us watched (and thanked God) as the monument of Saddam Hussein collapsed and became a carnival ride for thousands of Iraqi's celebrating the end of a stifling, murderous, evil empire?

Right is wrong and wrong is right? Why? Because we want to get along with those who want to hurt us. When freeing millions of Iraqi's from the tyranny of Saddam becomes bad, despite the fact that thousands of bodies were found as evidence of Saddam's genocide, and when the freedom and liberties that we all share in our country mean we can blow each other up to make a point---then we have truly crossed some intangible line.

In my world, Jane Fonda will never be a hero and I would never buy a book or attend her movies. William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn would not teach me or my child in a university, if they weren't in jail they would certainly never be my pals. If Keith Olbermann would have courage, he would face thousands of angry vietnam vets who he claims lied---they were never spat upon by their fellow citizens when they returned home. Somehow we believe Ayers would blow up the pentagon but would never lower himself to spit on a vet--give me a break. If the youth of our country are so easily manipulated we should all fear growing old in their presence.

The day we stop speaking the truth when confronted with a lie is the day we've written the death warrant for our own nation and ourselves--quite literally.

Obama Administration Taps Economic Powerhouse

President-elect Barack Obama is keeping an eye out for talent and apparently tapped Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm for appointment to the panel entrusted with the economic transition. Granholm is an interesting choice considering the economy in Michigan deserves a misery index all its own and has been an oasis of economic recession in a sea of formerly stable US economy. Apparently the rest of the country has not been depressed enough. As a Michigander, I only hope to convey my hope that the rest of the country does not experience the brilliance that is Jennifer Granholm.

We're #1. Well, or number #51 depending on which way you look at it. Here are the top 10 places least likely to find a job:

42 DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA 6.4
42 NEVADA 6.4
44 TENNESSEE 6.5
45 OHIO 6.6
46 ALASKA 6.8
46 ILLINOIS 6.8
48 CALIFORNIA 6.9
48 MISSISSIPPI 6.9
50 RHODE ISLAND 7.5
51 MICHIGAN 8.5

That's right, we're a full percentage point ahead, errr behind, the rest of you. No problem, you may be able to find a job several counties away. Unfortunately, with gas prices likely to go up again, you should really consider biking those 130 daily round trip miles You see, biking is good for your health, reduces emissions and it's virtually free! Not one to ask others to do what she wouldn't, Granholm occasionally makes her 3 mile commute on her bike.

This past summer, Jennifer Granholm spoke with the Oakland Press.
"The state Department of Transportation is looking at state roads to figure out where it would be safe to add bike lanes and is planning to expand park-and-ride lots and add more, since some are at capacity as more drivers carpool to save money," Granholm said.

Well, maybe Granholm is really handy with handling money:

According to research conducted by the Free Press, Thirty-two states spend more per capita for state services than Michigan, but, in a survey of 41 states, only five paid their rank-and-file employees more than Michigan pays its workers.
Michigan property taxes are on the high side, sales taxes are in the middle and income taxes (with a flat rate of 3.9%) are lower than most but slightly higher than neighboring Indiana and Illinois.

Its just interesting to me that the President-elect doesn't hold any grudges because Granholm was an arden Hillary supporter just one short year ago. Unfortunately, it was Jennifer Granholm who signed the bill into law that moved up the primaries which stifled the votes of 156 delegates from the illegally advanced Michigan primaries. All but one of the candidates removed their names from the ballot in addition to ditching any primary campaigns. Removing their names wasn't required so Hillary Clinton didn't. Imagine if Hillary's delegates counted on January 15, 2008--I wonder what was happening back then?

January 3 Iowa caucuses; Obama 16, Hillary 15
January 8 New Hampshire primary Obama 9, Hillary 9
January 15, Michigan primaries; (Obama given proportionally 59), Hillary ;69
January 19 Nevada caucuses; Obama 13, Hillary 12
January 26, South Carolina primary; Obama 9, Hillary 9
Totals: Obama 122, Hillary 119 ?

Well, maybe Hillary wouldn't have been told to GET OUT OF THE PRIMARY RACE had she been that close. It's not like Hillary won the popular vote or anything. I'm sure Granholm lost a lot of sleep knowing that her signature on that bill may have changed the Democratic nomination, especially since she was a strong supporter and Obama doesn't hold a grudge.

Forming Resistance

PUMAs determined that they weren't just going to go along with the program--they formed, organized, added new members to their blogrolls (check out one or two of them--they maintain their own sites and link to others), they stayed informed and active. We should take a page out of their playbook and keep adding blogs to a blogroll.

If you have a website, add links to all of the conservatives in exile to your site to build a network and maintain a coalition.

I added a blog called "Last Room on the Right" a month or so ago to add some of my McCainspace blogs. I intend to use it to update others on issues that are important to conservatives that may not be covered by the MSM. As we know, 2008 signaled the death of mainstream journalism and bloggers (Hannity, Rush, Levin and Beck--well, FOX) did the job the MSM normally does. We have a reason to fight--and we have to remain vigilante and hold these journalists accountable.

If you own a site-please add my blog to your blogroll and post your blog/website address in the comments section there. I'll add links to my site as we expand. ANYONE can have a blog--and this site has so much talent and enthusiasm you may want to consider adding one too. Even for those of us who may not be natural webmasters wordpress and google both have easily set-up blogs.

If you have a central meeting location, (i.e., chatrooms, etc.) dedicated to some part of the conservative (or RESISTANCE) movement, please post a link on that site.

You are all my heroes---

Faith
